# NEXA ATR 2026 — V1.3 Build Package
## Opening Recovery + Magazine Art Direction
**Prepared by:** Claude · July 2026
**For:** Manus / Cursor
**Source master:** Th11e_Nexa_Annual_Technology_Review__Nexa_Maroc___The_Medina_Lab__Volumes_I_XIX.html

## CRITICAL CORRECTION — READ FIRST

My initial assessment was wrong on the "missing pages" call. Deep DOM scan corrects this:

**All 4 supposedly missing pages ARE present and populated:**

| Page | Status | Visible content |
|---|---|---|
| P2 — Opening Manifesto | POPULATED ✓ | 1,397 chars — full manifesto copy present |
| P4 — Morocco's Digital Decade | POPULATED ✓ | 1,037 chars — stats and copy present |
| P14 — The Architecture (Act Map) | POPULATED ✓ | 671 chars — all 9 acts listed |
| P15 — Enter the Review | POPULATED ✓ | 440 chars — full closing copy present |

**What was misleading:** All 15 opening pages are tagged `class="page runway-page"` with HTML comments `<!-- P2 — OPENING MANIFESTO -->` etc. My initial text search missed them because the text "Opening Manifesto" doesn't appear as visible heading copy — only in the HTML comment.

**The real problem:** The opening section was built by Claude (functional HTML), not by Manus (premium magazine design). It uses `Playfair Display` — a typeface that is **not part of the approved design system**. The rest of the skeleton uses `Archivo / Inter / Source Serif 4`.

**V1.3 is therefore not structural recovery. It is magazine art direction:** replace Claude's functional opening with Manus's premium execution, using the correct design system.

## C — COPY SOURCE FOR EACH PAGE REQUIRING UPGRADE

All copy is confirmed present in the V1.2 skeleton. No copy rewrites needed.
Use the existing DOM content. Manus redesigns the visual container only.

### P2 — Opening Manifesto (confirmed copy in master)
```
Morocco is not waiting for the future. It is specifying it.
Between now and 2030, Moroccan institutions — schools, cities, factories,
hospitals, stadiums, governments — will make technology decisions that define
the Kingdom's next digital decade.
The decisions made now will determine what runs, what does not, what scales,
and what is replaced.
This Review exists because the gap between what is technologically possible
and what is actually deployed in Morocco is not a technology gap. It is a
procurement gap. A knowledge gap. A confidence gap.
We close it. Page by page. Chapter by chapter. Product by product.
This is not a catalog. It is a decision-making instrument for Morocco's most
important decade.
```

### P4 — Morocco's Digital Decade (confirmed copy in master)
```
Morocco's Digital Decade
Why 2026–2030 is the technology adoption window.
The window is 2026 to 2030. It will not wait.
Morocco is not a future market. It is a present one. The infrastructure
investments are committed. The regulatory frameworks are forming. The
institutional mandates are signed. FIFA 2030 has given six Moroccan cities
a technical specification deadline they cannot move. Morocco's 2035
investment programme signals national-scale investment ambition. The
renewable energy grid already delivers 45.5% — among the highest in Africa.
What remains is the technology layer.
STATISTICS (visual callouts):
  $3.2B — Digital infrastructure investment
  45.5% — Renewable energy grid
  6 — FIFA 2030 host cities in Morocco
  2030 — Digital Morocco strategy target
```

## D — DESIGN DIRECTION PER PAGE (Manus owns visual execution)

### P2 — Opening Manifesto
**The job of this page:** Stop the reader. Establish that this is not a brochure.
**Current issue:** Playfair Display 32px is too editorial-soft. The manifesto needs force.
**Direction:** Dark background. The opening sentence — "Morocco is not waiting for the future. It is specifying it." — is the dominant typographic element. It should fill 50–60% of the page vertically. Use Archivo Black at the largest type scale in the document. The body paragraphs below are Source Serif 4, small, high leading, muted. One accent element in signal red — either the word "specifying" or a left rule. Signal red on "We close it." is appropriate. No images required. Type is the image.

### P4 — Morocco's Digital Decade
**The job of this page:** Make the urgency of 2026–2030 feel concrete and data-driven.
**Current issue:** Stats exist but have no visual weight. They blend into body text.
**Direction:** The four statistics ($3.2B / 45.5% / 6 cities / 2030) must be the visual centre of the page. Large numerals — Archivo Black — with small labels below. Gold (#C9A84C) for the numerals, muted white for labels. The copy above and below wraps around them. Dark background. The statistics are the headline; the prose is the explanation. This is a data page, not a prose page.

### P14 — The Architecture (9-Act Map)
**The job of this page:** Give the reader a navigable map of the entire Review in one visual.
**Current issue:** Populated but visually thin — small type, plain grid, no visual hierarchy.
**Direction:** This is the premium TOC page. It should feel architectural — structured, precise, intentional. Each of the 9 acts is a distinct block. The act number (I through IX) is prominent — Archivo Black, large, gold or red. The act title is medium weight white. The chapter list below each act is small, muted grey, readable but not dominant. The overall grid should create a sense of the Review's full scope in one glance. Manus has full authority on grid structure, spacing, and visual treatment. Reference: Apple product line overviews, MIT Technology Review section grids. This page must earn its position as the navigation anchor for the entire 1,081-product catalog.

### P15 — Enter the Review
**The job of this page:** A beat of silence before Act I begins. Cinematic, not functional.
**Current issue:** Copy correct but ends abruptly with "Act I — The Tech Nerd begins on the following page" immediately followed by actual act content — no visual breathing room.
**Direction:** Minimal dark page. The three-word structure — "Available. Sourceable. Ready." or the full version — is the only dominant element. No images. No statistics. No tables. White type on near-black background. Large Archivo Black. A single red accent element — either a left stripe, a ruled line, or the act cue at the bottom in signal red. The reader should feel a moment of stillness before the catalog begins. It should feel like the lights dimming in a cinema.

## E — CURSOR-READY IMPLEMENTATION WORKFLOW

### Pre-build (before touching any file)
```
1. DUPLICATE the master:
   Th11e_...html → NEXA_ATR_2026_V1_3_WORKING.html
   Never edit the source master directly.
2. CONFIRM the 15 opening pages exist using Ctrl+F:
   Search: "<!-- P2"  → should find <!-- P2 — OPENING MANIFESTO -->
   Search: "<!-- P4"  → should find <!-- P4 — MOROCCO'S DIGITAL DECADE -->
   Search: "<!-- P14" → should find <!-- P14 — THE 9-ACT / 19-VOLUME MAP -->
   Search: "<!-- P15" → should find <!-- P15 — ENTER THE REVIEW -->
   All four found: proceed. Any missing: stop and report.
3. LOCATE the boundary:
   Search: <!-- END EXECUTIVE RUNWAY — ACT I BEGINS -->
   This comment marks the exact end of the opening section.
   NEVER edit anything after this line in V1.3.
```

### Build scope — ONLY these 4 pages
```
4. TARGET PAGES ONLY (work between HTML comments):
   <!-- P2 — OPENING MANIFESTO -->  ...to next page comment
   <!-- P4 — MOROCCO'S DIGITAL DECADE -->  ...to next page comment
   <!-- P14 — THE 9-ACT / 19-VOLUME MAP -->  ...to next page comment
   <!-- P15 — ENTER THE REVIEW -->  ...to next page comment
5. REPLACE the inner div content of each target page.
   Keep the outer: <div class="page runway-page" ...>
   Replace everything inside it.
   Use design direction from Section D above.
6. FONT SYSTEM — strictly use only:
   font-family: 'Archivo', sans-serif     (headlines, labels, numbers)
   font-family: 'Inter', sans-serif       (body text, captions, data)
   font-family: 'Source Serif 4', serif   (editorial italic, pull quotes)
   DO NOT USE:
   font-family: 'Playfair Display'  ← currently present in P2, P4 — REMOVE
   font-family: 'Playfair Display SC'
   Any Google Font not in the approved three above
7. COLOUR SYSTEM — only:
   #04080F or #0a0a0a  (dark page backgrounds — either is fine)
   #E8401C             (signal red — Nexa accent)
   #C9A84C             (gold — statistics, act numbers)
   rgba(255,255,255,x) (white at varying opacity for body text)
   #FAFAF8             (white page background — only if a page needs light mode)
```

### After build
```
8. VERIFY with Ctrl+F:
   "Playfair" → should return 0 results in the opening section
   "runway-page" → should return exactly 14 divs (P2–P15)
   "The Tech Nerd" → should appear in P14 AND in the Act I separator
   "<!-- END EXECUTIVE RUNWAY" → should still exist exactly once
9. PRODUCE change log (see Section below)
10. DELIVER as:
    NEXA_ATR_2026_CHRONOLOGICAL_SKELETON_PREVIEW_V1_3.html
    NEXA_ATR_2026_SKELETON_BUILD_NOTES_V1_3.md
```
